Ms. Gahyoung Kim was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Transamerica Life Bermuda in February 2026.
With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Gahyoung brings extensive expertise in distribution business development, particularly in the high-net-worth (HNW) segment, and a strong background in leading large-scale initiatives across Asia. She has built a solid track record of leadership, operational excellence, and delivering transformative projects that drive meaningful business impact.
Before joining Transamerica Life Bermuda, Gahyoung held senior positions at AIA Group, where she played a pivotal role in accelerating growth and leading transformation across insurance distribution channels.
In her current role, Gahyoung leads Operations and Transformation to enhance efficiency, elevate service quality, and strengthen the company’s capabilities as a global HNW insurer.
Gahyoung holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Hong Kong.
