TLB honored to receive Outstanding Green Award at the 29th Green Power Hike
At Transamerica Life (Bermuda) Ltd. (TLB), we value our employees’ physical and mental health and also continuously look for ways in which we can contribute back to our community. At the beginning of this year, we supported Green Power* again in its annual prime fundraising hiking event, the 29th Green Power Hike (“Hike”) under the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers (HKFI) Cup. The Hike is a long-standing event, one of the largest charitable walkathons in Hong Kong, and Green Power’s cause of promoting environmental education aligns perfectly with our Corporate Social Responsibility philosophy - TLB Inspire of its key pillars of “promoting sustainability” and encouraging “community engagement”.
We received a fantastic response with 20 of our TLB Hong Kong colleagues raising their hands to participate.
The Hike ended on 21 February and Green Power has recognised our great effort by awarding us the “Outstanding Green Award” by donations of HKD10,000. Our volunteers had also completed of a total distance of 226.36 km! We are so proud of our volunteers and truly commend them on their commitment and perseverance, especially for hiking during this period while the local COVID case numbers have been high and Hong Kong was experiencing cold weather conditions.
